Families deepen their engagement with DanceAfrica in this fun-filled, outdoor workshop, led by BAM teaching artist and performance art education scholar, Dánice Jones, learning rhythms and movement from Cameroon.
All ages.About Dánice Jones: Pioneering dance therapist Dánice Jones has collaborated with BAM for more than three decades as a percussionist, movement researcher, and cultural arts educator, bringing unique cultural experiences to the community.

Join Jahanna Blunt, recipient of the Chuck Davis Emerging Choreographer Fellowship, as she engages with the BAM community during DanceAfrica 2024. This hour-long workshop will center Koredjuga, a rhythm that originated in the border region of Mali and Guinea, traditionally used to accompany itinerant jesters who disrupt and entertain during social functions. Participation is open to all dance levels and observers.
