Nearly a century after its premiere, Bertolt Brecht’s savage critique of capitalism and Kurt Weill’s jazz-soaked music retain their knife-edge allure in Barrie Kosky’s sexy, stylish staging.

Opening Night Party: The Threepenny Opera
- Part of
- BAM Patron Events and
- Winter/Spring 2025
Join us in celebrating a new revival of The Threepenny Opera
presented in partnership with St. Ann’s Warehouse!
Director Barrie Kosky and Berliner Ensemble bring us murderous antihero Mackie Messer (a.k.a. Mack the Knife) as he slashes through Victorian London in this scandalous satire that electrified Weimar-era German audiences after its 1928 debut.
Performances are in original German with English supertitles.
Afterwards, raise a glass with us as we celebrate this reimagined classic with the cast, crew, and creatives at the opening night party!
RSVP is required. BAM Patrons can purchase tickets to the performance and RSVP to the party by contacting BAM Patron Services at PatronServices@BAM.org.
