A young sex worker from Brighton Beach gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she marries the son of a Russian oligarch in this new Sean Baker film, winner of the 2024 Palme d’Or at Cannes.
BAM Members (Level 3+) are invited to a FREE screening of Anora, this year’s winner of the Palme d’Or at Cannes, written and directed by Sean Baker (The Florida Project, Red Rocket). A completely chaotic and fresh take on the classic Cinderella story, Anora centers a sex worker from Brighton Beach whose life changes drastically when she meets and impulsively marries the son of a Russian oligarch.
