Dir. Tatyana Tyo (age 15)
Uzbekistan
“Living in Tashkent, Uzbekistan as a Korean, I tend to find a lot of inspiration from Korean cultural videos, one being Korean National dance. I love how the costumes, music, and movement reflect the values of Korean culture and the history of the people. When I saw a Korean dance on TV, I was fascinated by the plasticity of their movements, lush fans, and bright national dresses. Hanbok and fans whirling in the dance reminded me of a waltz of flowers. I was very inspired and my animation was born.”—Tatyana Tyo, Director
