André 3000: New Blue Sun Live In Concert
New Blue Sun
Live In Concert
with Meshell Ndegeocello
After 17 years, André 3000’s hiatus from full-length recording came to a glorious and merciful end when the Atlanta-based musician—best known as one half of southern rap duo Outkast—released a remarkably unexpected solo record: an ethereal tapestry of spiritual jazz and transcendental flute music. Joined on the opera house stage by Carlos Niño, Surya Botofasina, Nate Mercereau, and Deantoni Parks, André 3000 brings his shimmering New Blue Sun to BAM for an enchanting and reflective sonic odyssey.
Now sharing both nights is Brooklynite multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer Meshell Ndegeocello, a two-time Grammy Award winner and 12-time nominee, who adds her own restless creativity to this unforgettable experience.
