Choreographer Ohad Naharin and his Batsheva company return to BAM with a breathtaking work of creative mastery.
Dominican singer, guitarist, percussionist, and sound engineer Riccie Oriach has forged a distinctive musical style that fuses punk and hard rock with traditional Caribbean rhythms like merengue, bachata, and samba. Collaborating with eminent artists including the illustrious producer Eduardo Cabra, formerly of Calle 13, Oriach has created a signature sound deeply rooted in tradition, but always looking to the future—and guaranteed to make listeners move on the dance floor.
Ultra Violet is a Dominican-American DJ hailing from the Bronx. With mixes full of nostalgia combined with musical genres such as house, dembow, and disco, she takes you on a journey with every set. Her curated sound is inspired by growing up in the melting pot that is New York City. She currently has a monthly residency in the Onyx Room at the legendary House of Yes, and has performed at Bonnaroo, Glitterbox, and other iconic stages.
