In “Secret Garden,” Stephanie Dinkins has cultivated a virtual oasis populated with Black women who share stories of power and resilience. Multigenerational narratives collapse past, present, and future across interactive vignettes.
“Secret Garden” is a part of TECHNE, a program of four large-scale digital artworks curated by Onassis ONX, an initiative by Onassis Culture dedicated to the development of new media art and digital experiences.

Black Beyond’s Warpmode is a conceptual card game about Black Metatheories. This program will feature a conversation between TECHNE artist Stephanie Dinkins and Black Beyond founder and artistic director Jazsalyn, framed through playing Warpmode. The two artists will discuss Afronowism, ways of telling black stories mediated by technology, and more.
This special event is included in the price of admission to “Secret Garden” on Friday, January 17 at 7pm.
Black Beyond’s Warpmode with Tamar Clarke-Brown and Jazsalyn is co-presented by Onassis ONX and Pioneer Works in collaboration with Metalabel and support from Serpentine Arts Technologies.
