We honor the life and legacy of Dr. King at this vital Brooklyn tradition, celebrating the courageous individuals who sustain and extend Dr. King’s relentless pursuit of equality and justice.
Winter/Spring 2025
Nothing is so beautiful as winter and spring. As nature renews and reawakens, BAM's Winter/Spring programming unfolds, offering a vibrant slate of performances that embody rebirth and renewal. The season is buzzing with the electrifying energy of artistic expression, communing around celebrated artists who expand creative boundaries.
Coming to BAM in 2025 are Rebecca Frecknall’s staggering revival of Tennessee Williams’s A Streetcar Named Desire starring Patsy Ferran, Oscar nominee Paul Mescal, and Anjana Vasan; Barrie Kosky’s urgent, seductive Berliner Ensemble staging of The Threepenny Opera, Brecht and Weill’s savage critique of capitalism; and Macbeth in Stride, Whitney White’s R&B-soaked musical recasting of Lady Macbeth as an indomitable Black female icon.
In addition, BAM favorites including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Batsheva Dance Company return with fresh creations. BAM Free Music brings live music back to The Adam Space, the perfect place to listen, mingle, and dance. DanceAfrica, an exhilarating annual celebration, focuses on Mozambique. And alongside the beloved BAMkids Film Festival, a vibrant new live-action performance suited for children ages 0 to 5, Gimme Please!, nurtures budding creativity.
Join us in celebrating the season's promise through performances that lift spirits, challenge perceptions, and showcase art's transformative power through the lens of bold, colorful artistry.
Thank you to our Winter/Spring 2025 season supporters.
