This January, Laurie Anderson helps kick off the BAM Next Stage Campaign with an evening of music and performance celebrating the adventurous creativity that defines BAM. The incomparable Anderson, known for her own groundbreaking work, brings together a group of diverse artists who all share a drive to create new and original art.

Among those joining Anderson is the "fearless, witty and completely individual" (Time Out New York) choreographer Sarah Michelson, last at BAM with her sold-out work DOGS (2006); experimental indie rockers Dirty Projectors; Poor Baby Bree—aka Bree Benton—a fast-rising star in New York's cabaret scene, bringing her vaudevillian persona and an arsenal of parlor tricks to the stage; dreamrock band Brightblack Morning Light, illuminating the evening with their distinctive brand of Southern psychedelia; funk to punk musical chameleon Nona Hendryx belting out a siren's song; Afro-Cuban jazz master Arturo O'Farrill imparting his signature Latin sounds; and James Hall Worship & Praise filling the house with their roof-raising gospel hits.
