Build literary skills and creative development through spoken word poetry.
High school students hone their writing craft, refine their performance skills, and analyze poetry in this multi-week residency. Through guided practice with a BAM teaching artist, they create a fun, supportive environment that encourages peer-to-peer critique and deepens their understanding of poetic devices and language.
As students create and perform new works, they develop their individual and collective vision, voice, and power.
There are two ways to bring Word.Sound.Power. to your students!
