Kinds of Kindness

A man without choice tries to take control of his own life. A policeman is alarmed that his wife, who was missing at sea, has returned seemingly a different person. A woman is determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader. Academy Award-nominated Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos (The Favourite, Poor Things) reunites with screenwriter Efthimis Filippou (Dogtooth) and actress Emma Stone for a disarming triptych that examines what kindness can actually entail. Stone, Jesse Plemons, and Willem Dafoe all play multiple roles.
