György Pálfi brings Stanisław Lem’s 1968 philosophical sci-fi novel to the screen with this head-spinning, cerebral thriller involving government secrets, Cold War politics, and extraterrestrial activity.
Perhaps (technically) the most star-studded film of all time, this montage mash-up is composed of 450 clips from the most famous movies in history, directed by György Pálfi and produced by Béla Tarr. Via interspersed footage, Final Cut: Ladies & Gentlemen finds some of the world’s most iconic actors—from Jackie Chan to Jeanne Moreau—as they fall in love, exchange glances, and come to each other’s rescue across decades, continents, genres, and film formats.
