Based on Hungarian novel Our Street by Sándor Tar, Pálfi’s most recent feature centers on a benevolent man trying to survive in his post-apocalyptic, war-torn village.

Free Fall
In this masterful embodiment of Pálfi’s fluidity of vision, a woman jumps from the roof of her Budapest apartment block and plunges into seven different microcosms of contemporary Hungarian society. Ranging in style from sci-fi to social realism, Free Fall glimpses the lives of a hyper-hygienic couple, a woman who wants her baby put back inside her, and a boy who is seemingly the only one able to see the terrifyingly full-sized bull inside his flat.
