DoYeon Kim brings her musical virtuosity and deep knowledge of traditional Korean music into the 21st century, combining her mastery of the gayageum (a traditional Korean plucked zither with 12 strings) with a fierce dedication to improvisation. Kim’s quartet set—part of Bang on Can’s renowned Long Play festival—features a world-class lineup of New York jazz and classical luminaries.
