A disillusioned Black CIA agent uses his specialized training to build a guerrilla army intent on government overthrow in one of the most radical anti-white-supremacy statements in film history.
Alfreda’s Cinema presents Ibrahem Hasan, Masterclass freestyle
- Part of
- BAM Film 2024
Alfreda's Cinema continues its monthly partnership with BAM in (Black) August with a remix of the master class, launching with the work of Ibrahem Hasan, a Chicago-born, Palestinian-bred, Brooklyn-based multi-disciplinary media artist and storyteller.
Ibrahem Hasan manifests a brighter world forward with every breath of his imagination. His devotion to humanity and form through his unwavering bravery resembles a carnal romance with liberation. For Hasan, the camera, the archives, and the body are the apparatus behind the rituals of his art, which is in perpetual flow. He has collaborated creatively with artists such as Virgil Abloh, FKA Twigs, Travis Scott, Serena Williams, and Solange. His published books include Yester, Come Closer, and Love Is Why. Hasan remains grounded as a man of the people, and nothing will change that.
Films include:
Palestinian Women المرأة الفلسطينية (1974) dir. Jocelyn Saab
The Dream المنام (1987) dir. Mohammad Malas
Nae Nasicdo (2024) Work In Progress by Ibrahem Hasan
